Spring in The Forest

I raced back into the forest, growling and muttering to myself. I hung up my clothes on a tree, phased, and layed down on the forest floor for no reason. I didn't know what I was waiting for.

I got up and started running out of the forest and then realized there was a road. I didn't look both ways and then walked across it. Out of the corner of my eye I saw blaring lights, and then BAM! , I was out.

It had been about an hour since my siblings had gotten home from school. My two sisters had told me to go hunting with them and I decided to go. I wondered if Ashley would stil be there. I tried to ignore it as I ran across the forest. Then I smelt something. It smelt... bad... and... almost... hurt. So I followed the smell. I followed my nose to a road. There I saw Ashley laying on the ground. She was hurt. Knocked out. I predicted she was hit by a car but I would think if that were the case the driver would come out. I called my sisters for help and they ran off to tell my parents but they weren't very thrilled with the idea of helping the werewolf.

I opened my eyes weakly. I was feeling a little bit better, but as I struggled to get up, my sides ached and I fell down again in pain. I crawled and scrambled to the side of the road, and finally stopped when I was a few feet in the forest. Ow, ow ow ow ow! I snarled. Whoever hit me would pay . . . later. I slowly closed my eyes.

We had woken her up, made sure she was okay then we ran off and act as if we knew nothing about it...

When I woke up again, I felt pretty good. Not top condition, but good. I was still in wolf form, and I went and found my clothes, holding them in my mouth, I picked up the burning scent that I figured must be of vampires. Curious if it was Aubrey's family, I followed it, still wary though. I looked up and realized the sun was setting. Oh well.

When we were done hunting I decided to hurry home. I wanted to get home before Ashley were to wake up and find out that my family and I were in the forest, too.

Hoping she would respond, I sat back on my haunches and howled. I got up, loping after the scent of Aubrey, or possibly her other sibling or parents or whatever.

As I ran back to my house I heard a howl. I knew it was Ashley but I also knew it was not a cry for help so I continued to run.

I wish I could talk, or someone could understand my thoughts, or something! I thought, growling to myself. I just wanted to ask her if she knew who hit me. Aubrey, Aubrey! Who hit me with the car? I asked mentally even though I knew se couldn't hear me.

I was now in my backyard so I quickly jumped into my second story bedroom and imediatly started my homework even though I hadn't gone to school for more than 2 periods that day.

I followed the scent through the forest, but eventually it lead me through and around the forest so I just gave up. Why was she always running away? She couldn't have hit me with the car, no she couldn't. No way. I dropped the clothes I was carrying and changed back to human, and got the clothes on, though they were really dirty. I wandered through the forest and came across the house. It burned even my human nose, so I stayed on the edge of the forest, thinking I say Aubrey but it must have just been my mind. Strangely tired, I collasped and fell asleep.

I started running and suddenly a terrible ripping noise broke my focus, and I froze and realized I was a wolf again. Oh crap. What's Deven gonna say? Or dad? I growled and banged my head against a tree by accident. I was glad for a second I couldn't speak because I was swearing so much. Pacing around, I felt, almost . . . safe in the forest.

I ended up in a forest. Afraid that someone would see me, I hid behind thick trees, trying to find my way back home.

What am I gonna do? I mean, am I ever gonna be able to talk to Aubrey again?! I remembered Aubrey, and how she said werewolves and vampires were never meant to be friends. I growled and started running.

Suddenly thoughts were flying into my name. The name Aubrey came in. Something about werewolves and vampires and their relationship. It was like somebody was trying to tell me something. Feeling confused, I shook my head and tried running back to my house.

Smiling to myself, I thought of Deven. I loped slowly around, and stopped. Ears twitching, I listened closely, thinking I heard a rustle through the bushes. I thought it might be deer or something.

Quickly, I was back at my house. Waiting in the grass were some clothes with a post-it on top that said "Thought you might need this - John" I growled at the note. My big brother had been teasing me ever since I phased for the first time. I picked up the clothes with my mouth and phased back to human behind a tree and changed.

As I lied down near the edge of the forest, suddenly I was I thinking of somebody named John, and him teasing me? That's . . . totally . . . weird! Who is John? I looked around, making sure my sight was alright and I wasn't going crazy.

I sat on a tree stump (in human form) and thought about phasing. I didn't really know why I was here. I just wanted to go somewhere so I had jumped out the window and raced over here...

I took off my clothes near the barn and phased, rushing off and stopping near the forest. Something caught my eye and I turned. Someone was there, and it was Gina! My mind went panicky. I wanted to run away, but then I decided to act like a normal-ish wolf. Wolves growl at people right? Or would these wolves, or, oh well-- I snarled, and flattened my ears back, trying to act all angry and stuff.

I heard a strange growl. Like the growl of a wolf - my kind of wolf. I looked into the wolves eyes and ran behind a tree. I took off my clothes then I phased. Who is that? I thought to myself.

I was surprised as another wolf, my kind I guess you could say, came from behind the tree. Who's that? I thought, thinking there were on other werewolves other than me.

OK, who ARE you?! I'm Ashley and suddenly I realized Gina wasn't there anymore. Are YOU Gina?!
