Spring in The Forest

"Ashley, I completely agree with that statement." I said. "As long as you don't murder my family." I muttured in Gina's direction.
"And we will try to find out who hit you with that car. We found you afterwards. We didn't see who was driving."

"Sorry Ashley but I don't like vampires and I don't think you can ever change that." I said, staring at Aubrey. "They suck the life out of inicent people, who could like that?" I gave Aubrey a quick smile and laughed a little.

"Well you think what you want and do what you want, but I'm still friends with Aubrey."

"Well thank you Ashley. You did the mature thing." I said, smiling. "Well I think I'm going to go home now... bye." I said and ran off.

Mature thing? I don't think even dads said that to me! I felt kinda wierd, and leaned back randomly against a tree.

"I don't understand how you could like her." I said, staring at Ashley. "And that stench! Ugh! I can barely breathe and I just got here!"

"I guess it's just because I've never had past encounters with vampires."

"Whatever." I said. "So what do we do now..?"

I shrugged. " I wonder if we're the only werewolves."

"I bet. I think that by now we would have noticed if there were any others." I said. "Hey. Do you want to come over to my house? We could use some help with unpacking anyway." I said. "Or we could go to your house. I just feel like having some aircondioting. Its getting really hot out here."

"Sure. Maybe you could come to my house." I said, and started running off in the direction of my house.

I chased after Ashley, wondering how far away she lived.

I ran through the forest shouting "Ashley! Ashley, ya here?"

I was still in human form as I sat down on a low branch of a tree, facing the forest.

"Aaaasssshhhhlllleeeeyyyyy!" I shouted.

"yeah I'm here." I saud, still looking towards the forest.

"Are you okay? Did you guys work everything out?" I asked, approaching her.

"Yeah. Everything's fine. It's just, Uh gaaaaaa!" I dug my nails in my scalp so hard it actually hurt. " I just can't believe I actually almost killed Deven!!!"

"You'll get over it." I said. "When you're a werewolf stuff like that tends to happen a lot. We freak out easily. Just gotta learn to manage your anger better. Its not easy." I said, looking at the floor.

"Yeah, but still..." I jumped down and said, and phased, pacing about. A slight hunger welled up inside me, and my ears twitched, listening for the slightest sound.

"Are you okay?" I asked. Then remembering she couldn't reply I phased. Are you okay? Seriously, tell me whats wrong.

Seriously, nothing. I looked around, and heard a rustle in the bushes. The faint thud thud thud of elk hooves.

Okay. Well I'm gonna head home, my dad said I can't miss dinner tonight. Then I ran off back towards my house.

As soon as I left I snarled, and my wolf part self went into hunting mode, crouching down and smelling the scent of the elk.

I saw the herd, up ahead by maybe 30, 40 feet. I crawled through the bushes, and I guess I was stupid enough to decide that I should go after the buck. I raced out with astonishing speed, leaping up and digging my claws into its sides. All my frustration drained its attention on the deer and I jumped back, then ran forward abd grabbed the throat with my teeth. I pulled it down and swung it around a couple times like it was a toy. Then I stopped, because it was dead. For a second I was confused on what to do. My wolf part said, eat the stupid meat already!! With disgust, I managed to get a pretty big chunk of meat and swallow it. It tasted horrible! But still, I was hungry...
